Projects

A project is one product or brand you send email for. Each project has its own:

  • database connection and synced contacts
  • sender and from address
  • brand, topics, templates and campaigns

Nothing is shared between projects, so two products never mix contacts or unsubscribes.

The project switcher at the top of the sidebar lists your projects and has New project. A project has a name and an optional icon: an emoji, or an image that Rowsend crops to a square.

A new project opens on Get started, the checklist from Your first campaign. When another project already has a sender or a brand, those steps offer to copy it. Copying a sender brings the provider, addresses and key, and you click Verify again; bounce tracking, the Postmark webhook and sending while your computer is off are set up per project. Copying a brand brings a copy of the logo, so deleting it from one project doesn’t affect the other.

Project settings holds everything about one project:

Section What it holds
General Name and icon, and Get started if you hid it
Database The connection, sync schedule and recent syncs
Sending Your email provider and from address
Topics The kinds of email people can unsubscribe from separately
Brand Logo, colors, social links and mailing address
Agent activity What AI agents changed in this project
Danger zone Deleting the project

App-wide settings, such as the license and where sending runs, are under Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.

Project settings → Danger zone deletes the project and everything in it from this computer: contacts, campaigns, templates and unsubscribes. Rowsend also asks the companion to delete the project’s sending history and images. Your database isn’t touched.
